4K is not supported on many devices therefore the performance varies depending on your device and OS version.
In general, mobile devices manufactured before 2016 will not handle HEVC files very well.

Even if your computer meets these specs, you may find that 4K video plays back choppy. This is due to the immense processing power required to play 4K.
In general, computers manufactured before 2016 may not handle HEVC files well.
